William Davis Whiteman

William Davis “Bill” Whiteman, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away, Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Focused Care of Clarksville. Mr. Whiteman was retired from the U.S. Postal Service with over 30 years of employment as a Rural Mail Carrier.  He was born, March 14, 1929, in the Madras Community of Red River County to Henry A. and Helen Bledsoe Whiteman.  His parents; brothers, Forest Grady Whiteman and Donal Anson Whiteman; sisters, Martha Craig Whiteman, Henry A. “Bit” Whiteman and Mary Dell Whiteman all preceded him in death.

Graveside services are set for 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2020, at Whiteman’s Chapel Cemetery.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Donnie Buzbee Whiteman; two sons, William D. “Bill” Whiteman and wife, Janell of Greenville, Wayne Whiteman of Clarksville; four daughters, Martha Whiteman and husband, Tony Moore of Texarkana, Donna Olmsted and husband, Rick of Flower Mound, Debbie Roraback and husband, Forrest of Clarksville and Brenda Booth and husband, Steve of Clarksville, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
