Obituary

Weldon Tyler, age 72, of Clarksville, Texas, passed peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 12, 2023.

He was born on October 12, 1950, in Odessa, Texas to Jim Wilson and Ella Long Tyler. Weldon attended Sam Houston State University where he achieved a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.  Weldon worked for the State of Texas as a parole officer most of his career.  He loved going to the horse races, watching sci-fi movies and being outdoors. Weldon was a beloved dad and loved his grandkids.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Tyler, sisters, Doris Foreman and Dorothy Scott and his parents.

He is survived by his son Jason Tyler and wife Kathy of Stillwater; his daughter Amy McKenzie and husband Brian of Tyler; grandchildren Clay Tyler, Sarah Becker, Kathryn Johnson, and Alice Johnson.

Memorial graveside services are set for 10:00am. Saturday, September 2, 2023, at New Haven Cemetery with Rev. Mark Williams officiating.  Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
