In loving memory of WR Freeman, 89, of Clarksville, Texas, who passed away on July 15th, 2023, we honor his remarkable life. WR was born on August 26th, 1933, in Little, Oklahoma. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Janice Freeman, and his children: Kathy, Russell, Ronnie, Greg, and Marc. Additionally, he is survived by his cherished grandchildren: Caitlin, Parker, Khloe, and Madison. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Marissa.
WR was a graduate of the University of Texas and in the mid-1970s, he became co-owner of Annona Manufacturing Company. He was an avid life-long golfer and created lasting memories with his friends and family on the golf course.
WR enjoyed his time singing in the McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church Choir and the combined Methodist and Presbyterian Christmas Choir. WR was a long-standing member in the Clarksville Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of WR will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023, at McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church at 1809 S Donoho St. in Clarksville, Texas. Rev. Jerry Colgrove will officiate. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Laymen's Sunday School Class and the Clarksville Rotary Club.
The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the church.
WR’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His warm presence and dedication to family will be fondly remembered.
