Tony Britt Stringer, age 56, of Clarksville, passed away, Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Tony was born, July 6, 1965, in Clarksville to R.D. “Buck” and Louise Green Stringer. He was a 1983 graduate of Clarksville High School and a Supervisor for the Red River Army Depot. He married Tammie Dean on June 20, 1986. Tony was the backbone of his family and he loved his family more than anything. His grandkids were the sparkle in his eye. He was a member and trustee at Temple Baptist Church. Tony had a servant heart and could fix just about anything. His parents; sister, Carolyn Carson; and a brother, Larry Stringer preceded him in death.
Funeral services are set for 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 18, 2021, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Teague and Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Jamison Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Carson, Brian Stringer, Heath Stringer, Gary Stanley, Luke Martin and Brandon McEntire.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Tammie Stringer of Clarksville; son, Dustin Britt Stringer and wife, Ellie of Detroit; daughter, Hailey Jeffery and husband, Tyler of Clarksville; grandchildren, Emmitt and Pake Stringer and Grayson and Rip Jeffery; siblings, Sue Stanley of Clarksville, Mark Stringer and wife, Janet of Clarksville, Terry Stringer and wife, June of Bagwell, Rhonda McEntire and husband, David of Clarksville and Tonya Martin and husband, James of Clarksville; brother-in-law, James Carson of Clarksville; sister-in-law, Rose Stringer of Clarksville and a host of nieces and nephews.
