Thomas J. May

Thomas J. May, age, 94, of Missouri City, formerly of Clarksville, passed away, Saturday, January 11, 2025.  He was born, December 11, 1930, in Clarksville and resided in Missouri City many years.  T.J. was preceded in death by his parents Joe T. and Ramah G. May of Clarksville.  T.J. will always be remembered for never facing an obstacle too big to overcome whether personal or helping a family member.  He was truly our rock. He was well known for waiting in countless lines at Christmas time to make sure his grandchildren got the latest and greatest Christmas presents.  He selflessly took care of his mother, Ramah until her death in 2005 at 108 years old.  T.J. was born from humble beginnings, but while working at J.C. Penny in Paris, he graduated Valedictorian from Paris Junior College.  He then put himself through college at The University of Texas, graduating and becoming a lifelong Longhorn.  T.J. retired from Chevron Oil as head auditor after 38 years. 

Survivors include his devoted wife of 65 years, Patsy Ruth (Fuller) May; children, Tommy May and wife, Connie of Clarksville and Terri May of Missouri City who cared for him in his last years.  Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren who referred to his a "Daddy Tom".

Memorial services are set for 2:30 PM, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home.  Burial of his ashes will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.  

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.
