Tennessee Texan Altizer Beaman, age 100, of Avery, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Texan was born, March 24, 1924, in Dallas to D.W. and Emily Lee Altizer. She married George E. Beaman on October 15, 1945. They were married 58 years before his death in 2004. Texan was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her last several years were spent in the care of the loving staff of Focused Care at Clarksville. She was preceded in death by her husband and seven brothers and sisters and a grandson-in-law, Robert White of Avery.
Texan is survived by her sons, Larry Beaman and wife, Jeannie and Walton Beaman of Avery; grandchildren, Cortney White of Avery and Clint Price and wife Ashely of Whiting, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Keith and Camille White of Avery and Zoe Price of Whiting, Indiana. She is also survived by her younger sister, Emily Shanks of Dallas as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at English Cemetery with John Moore officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
