Tedra Jackson, born on November 19, 1964, in Clarksville, Texas, passed away on March 30, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Thomas "Ted" and Sue Jones Grant, both of whom preceded her in death.
Tedra was a devoted sister to Debbie Barnett and Sharon Meredith, and a loving mother to Elbert (wife Amy), AJ, and Kira. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Blakely, Delaney, and Hadleigh, who brought immense joy to her life. Other cherished family members are Bob and Judy Grant Davis and Neil and Marsha Grant, nieces, nephews and cousins and fishing partner and fiancé, Daryl Perry.
Tedra dedicated 43 years of her life to working in childcare, where she made a lasting impact on countless children and families. Her nurturing spirit, patience, and love for helping others defined both her career and her character. She had planned to retire from Merit Children’s Academy in Dallas and return to her hometown of Clarksville, a place that always held a special place in her heart.
In her free time, Tedra found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved fishing and going on cruises, and the beach and pool were truly her happy places.
Tedra will be remembered for her warmth, her dedication to others, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
