Stephen James Bassett

Stephen James Bassett, age, 74, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, September 23, 2024, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bassett was born, May 14, 1950, in Lusk, Wyoming to Carter F. and Thelma Charline Masters Bassett.  He was retired from Dynamic Industries.  Mr. Bassett was a hard worker, enjoyed gardening and cooking for his family.  He was a great father, brother and friend. His parents and two brothers, William Carter Bassett and Charles Bassett preceded him in death. He was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 4, 2024, at Bridges Chapel Cemetery near Mt. Pleasant.  Rev. Nathan Simmons will officiate. Clarksville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

Survivors include a son, Christopher Bassett and wife, Amanda of Cleburne; a daughter, Christina Bassett Weber of Burleson; three sisters, Lynda DeMaria of Virginia, Teresa Pichoff of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Susan Bowes of Fredericksburg, Virginia; a brother, Robert Bassett of Belle Chasse, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Samantha Weber, Stephen Bassett, Rachel Bassett and Abigail Bassett; and a great grandchild, Astrid Baker.
