Sarah Butler

Sarah Juanita Butler, age 94, of Manchester, passed away, Sunday, February 26, 2023, at her residence.  Mrs. Butler was born, February 16, 1929, in Manchester to Kenneth and Birdie Edith East Covington.  She married Ernest C. Butler on September 21, 1945.  He preceded her in death along with a son, Melvin R. Butler and four brothers.  Mrs. Butler was a long- time member of the Leesville Baptist Church where she loved her church family very much.  She retired from Texas Instruments in 1971 and was the former owner of Best of Texas Food Products.  Mrs. Butler enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Jolley Jems and Caring and Sharing Quilt Club.

Survivors include her son, Ronald C. Butler; daughters, Barbara Erp and Sheila Humphrey; a sister, Shirley Wilson, twenty-four grand, great and great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and Leta Robinett who was like a daughter to her. 

Funeral services are set for 11:00 am, Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Leesville Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Ellis officiating.  Burial will follow in Leesville Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Ryan Butler, Jimmy Faulkner, Chris Kirk, Kolby Kirk, Caleb White and Jason Johnson. 

Visitation will be an hour before service time at the church.

The service will be Live Streamed through You Tube on Leesville Baptist Church page.
