Russell Dale Ward

Russell Dale Ward, age 51, of Johntown, passed away, Thursday, August 1, 2024, in Tyler.  Russell was born, November 12, 1972, in Mt. Vernon to J.C. and Carrol Austin Ward.  He was a welder and a "Jack of all Trades".  His father; and a brother, Scott Ward preceded him in death.  

Funeral services are set for 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Cuthand Church with Rev. John Purviance and Rev. Ryan Ballard officiating.  Burial will follow in Cuthand Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Russell Smith, Brice Franks, Corey O'Rand, Kenneth Kelley, Larry Don Galyean, Landon Earley and Shane Rector.  

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the church.  

Survivors include his mother, Carrol Ward of Bogata; one son, Rob Ward and wife, Brianna of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Sherry Ward and Dianna Hollefield of Hagensport and Tammy Erwin of Mesquite; grandchildren, Rhett, Callyn and Bowen of Mt. Vernon; special friend, Angela Rogers; sister-in-law, Gayle Atnip of Bogata; nephews, Zach and Jeremy Ward and several great nephews and nieces.
