Rufugio Raymond Gonzalez went to his Heavenly home Saturday, August 6, 2022. Also known as Booger, Uncle Boog and Rufi. Rufi was never too busy to help anyone in need. He could woo you over with his slick tongue. Rufi played as hard as he worked but his greatest pleasure in life was the love for his daughter Emrie, He loved her more than life itself.
Rufugio is survived by his father, Ramon Gonzalez, grandmother, Mittie Barton, MaMaw Ethel Elrod, mother, Jeanie Huddleston Gonzalez, Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, a special aunt, Maxine Peek, and a special aunt and uncle, Daniel and Ginger Broomfield.
Rufugio left behind to cherish his memory daughter, Emrie Reese Gonzalez, siblings, Michelle Dutton, Erica Bennett, Jessica and husband Johnny Crutchfield, Mary Young, Anita Magoo and brother, Jerry Dean Gonzalez. Rufugio was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pedro and Eualalia Ybarra and his grandfather, Tommy Barton which he loved them all dearly. As Rufi would say “ride your bike” and now Ride your bike on the golden streets of Heaven. My precious son go ahead and lean with it rock with it. You will be missed more than you will ever know.
Pallbearers are John Brown, Johnny Crutchfield, Jerry Gonzalez, Thomas Garcia, Chad Larkin, Rusty Bennett, and Honorary Jack Garcia.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home. Ethel and W. H. Elrod will officiate. Burial will follow in English Cemetery,
The Family will receive friends one hour before service time.
