Ruby "Billie" Jackson

Billie Jackson, 94. of Avery, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Focused Care Nursing Home.  Mrs. Jackson was born, December 4, 1929, in Avery to Zeke and Mary Bradley Barger.  She was a devout Christian and completely kind person, who always greeted you with a smile.  Mrs. Jackson never let anyone leave her house hungry.  Her husband, G.D. Jackson; son, Dalton Jackson; sisters, Mildred Lester and Helen Contreras; brothers, Buster Barger and Joe Wayne Barger all preceded her in death.  

Graveside services are 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at English Cemetery with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Susie Jackson of Avery and Clint and Shelia Jackson of Avery; great grandchildren, Justin, Dalton, Hunter, Rockelle and Shane, many great-great grandchildren, and a special niece, Shelly Holloway.
