Rosie Faye (McPeak) Stires, 87, passed away on December 31, 2023, in Clarksville. She was born November 25, 1936, in Avery, to William and Loraine McPeak.
Faye married Lloyd (Smokey) Stires on September 4, 1955, in Avery. They were blessed with two sons, Steve and Bentley. She was a lifelong resident of Avery and a homemaker, devoting her life and love to her family. She was a member of the Avery Missionary Baptist Church.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents, William and Loraine (Holloway) McPeak; her husband, Lloyd (Smokey) Stires; and one son, Steve Stires.
She is survived by one son, Bentley Stires and wife, Carmella Jo of Mayflower, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Stires; four grandchildren, Shane Stires and wife, Robyn; Shannon Stires; Shea Stires and wife, Tamara, all of Carencro, Louisiana and Shelby Stires of Maumelle, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Jace Stires, Caleigh Stires and Cale Stires, along with multiple nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Avery Cemetery. Brother Roddy Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
