Ronald Morris “Ronnie’ Stanley, age 55, of the English Community, left this earth on September 25, 2021, after an extensive battle with Covid. Ronnie was born, January 15, 1966, in Clarksville to Buddy and Sue Stringer Stanley. He was a 1984 graduate of Clarksville High School and was currently employed by the Red River Army Depot as a Computer Numerical Control Programmer. His father; uncles, Larry Stringer, Tony Stringer; and an aunt, Carolyn Carson all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife, Amanda Shimpock Stanley of English; mother, Sue Stanley of Clarksville; son, Matthew Stanley of Hooks; daughter, Shelby Stanley of Texarkana; bonus daughter, Braylyn Gray of English; brother, Gary Stanley and wife, Dana of Powderly; uncles, Mark Stringer and wife, Janet of Clarksville, Terry Stringer and wife, June of Bagwell; aunts, Tonya Martin and husband, James of Clarksville and Rhonda McEntire and husband, David of Clarksville and numerous other family and friends.

Ronnie married the true love of his life, just eleven short months ago. In that time, they built a beautiful life together and had many plans for the future. He loved his kids, Matt and Shelby and his bonus child, Braylyn. Ronnie was well known in his high school days for his football abilities, always giving his all and being unstoppable on the field. In his later years he loved being active with his kids sports and coaching them and their friends. Ronnie was a true momma’s boy and their bond was unbreakable. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports enthusiast. Ronnie loved to sing and listen to old country songs in his pickup, his “little girl”, while riding backroads. He was a great big brother to Gary, who always looked up to him. Ronnie was a real hero in his eyes. He loved the Lord and we know without a doubt, he is walking the streets of gold with those gone before him.

Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Jamison Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Dallas Ellis, Tim Shimpock, Gary Stanley, Jimmy Carson, James Martin and Tracey Lamm.

Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Phelps, Mark Stringer, Buford Ward, Terry Stringer and Larry Stratton.
