Obituary

Ronald Ray Davis, 64, of Houston passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023.

We are  heartbroken to announce the death of my father, Ronald Davis. He passed away unexpectedly at the age of sixty-four. He was born on November 24, 1958, to Ken and Wanda Davis in Dallas Texas. He moved to Houston Texas in 1963 where he graduated high school at Alief Hastings. He played in the band and ran track. After high school he moved to College Station and graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He was a proud graduate from Texas A&M and was active in the University’s Alumni. Ron loved to scuba dive, referee soccer for his son’s games and watch sports on the biggest TV that he could find. Ron’s true passion was computers and any technology that was up and coming. Ron also loved to cook and eat all kinds of foods that the Houston area could provide him with. He loved being a grandpa (or papa), dad, brother, and son to his family.

Ron is survived by his mother Wanda Davis of Blossom; Brother Ricky Davis of Blossom; His two children, Jon Davis of Oklahoma City; Jennifer Peskey of Waller; Grandchildren Laci Peskey, William Peskey, Easton Davis, and Mason Davis. He loved his grandchildren so much.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Tuggle Springs with Rev. Tim Reger officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Buster Tuggle, Mark Upton, Steve Upton, Larry Wright, Rhet Tuggle and Charles Muskite. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Harwell, Ray LaFon and Jonny Exoum.

Afterglow

I’d like the memory of me to be a

Happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when

life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering

softly down the ways.

Of happy time and laughing times

and bright sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve,

to dry before the sun

Of happy memories that I leave

when life is done.
