Robert Scott Smith, age 63, of Clarksville, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 25, 2024, at his home after a long battle with Cancer, with his family by his side.  Scott was born, November 9, 1960, in Clarksville to Glenn Lewis Smith and Jan Elizabeth Jones Smith. 

He graduated Mesquite High school in 1978 then later attended trade school to obtain his electrical degree, then went on to become a commercial electrician with the IBEW.

He loved his family dearly and was devoted to his career at Preston Pierce Construction in Dallas for over 25 years.

His wife, Trina Smith, son, Robert Patrick Smith, father, brother, Glenn Lewis and Glenn Edward Smith preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Jan Smith of Clarksville; son, Brandon Donihoo of Wills Point; daughter, Kylee Gannon and husband, Ryan of Trenton; grandchildren, Everly Gannon, Tripp Gannon, and Braydon Donihoo; brother, Lewis Tod Smith of Clarksville; sister, Melinda Whitten and husband, Bruce of Paris; brother-in-law, Gary Donihoo and wife, Rachel; niece, Lacey Whitten; and nephews, Garrett Whitten and Chip Smith.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home. Shiles Hubbell, Chaplain at Cypress Basin Hospice will officiate.

Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
