Rita Westbrook

Rita Westbrook, age 80, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, November 11, 2024, at Clarksville Nursing Center.  Mrs. Westbrook was born, December 5, 1943, in Clarksville to J.C. and Ila Lillian Mosley Long.  She graduated from Dimple High School and was employed by Red Kap Industries in Clarksville for over 36 years.  Rita later worked along with her husband, Jerry at Hamilton Properties for 20 years.  She loved wildlife, especially birds and collected ceramic elephants.  Rita was an avid gardener and enjoyed going camping.  She was a member of Aikin Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  Her husband, Jerry Westbrook preceded her in death on August 16, 2020.  Also preceding her in death were an infant daughter, Jerita Regina Westbrook; 2 brothers, Billy Joe Alford and Hoyt Long; and a sister, Shirley Jones. 

Rita loved her family and is survived by her two sons, Keith Westbrook and wife, Silvia and Kendall Westbrook and wife, Shannon both of Clarksville; one brother, Tom Long of Victoria; grandchildren, Hunter Westbrook of Sulphur Springs, Carley Westbrook of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Blake Westbrook and wife, Hanah of Paris, Tiger Lily Westbrook of Powderly, Ryder Brock and wife, Kelsey of Dixon, California and Cody Brock of Brookston; 4 great grandchildren, Emeri, Ryker, Maxwell and Maeve and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services are set for 1:30 P.M. Thursday, November 14, 2024, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Youngblood officiating.  Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. 

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Hunter Westbrook, Aaron Bohall, Brent Bohall, Raymond Long, Chase Long, Racy Long and Cody Brock. 

Honorary Pallbearers are Blake Westbrook, Darren Roberts and Ryder Brock.
