Rickey Baird, age, 74, of Boxelder, passed away, Thursday, June 5, 2025. Rickey was born, September 16, 1950, in Clarksville to J.V. and Dovie Tucker Baird. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School and owner of Rickey Baird Mowing Contractors for over 40 years. He was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church where he was Ruling Elder for 35 years. Rickey served on the Red River County Soil Conservation Board and was a retired Clarksville Volunteer Fireman. To say Rickey was a conversationalist would be an understatement.
Funeral services are 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will follow in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to services at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Major, Berney Huddleston, Roy Maye, Bear Bryant, James Dean Floyd, Phillip Gray, Cody Bachman, Chad Goodwin, Jason Dotson and the Red River County Soil Conservation Board members.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Lorie Baird of Boxelder, sons, Morgan Humphrey and wife, Delia of Buda, Landon Baird and wife, Jordan of Clarksville and Kelsey Baird of Boxelder; stepdaughter, Emily Lewis and husband, Zae Lewis of Clarksville; sister, Sharon Floyd and husband, James Dean of Boxelder; brother, Rodger Baird and wife, Deadra of Boxelder, seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and longtime friend and employee, Phillip Gray.
