Rickey Edwin “Rick” Bachman, age 67, of Clarksville, passed away, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at his residence. Rick was born, June 10, 1956, in Clarksville, the son of Curtis and Virginia Terry Bachman. He was a 1974 graduate of Clarksville High School and a longtime member of the St. John Lutheran Church. In the mid 1970’s, Rick joined Duren Brothers and worked there until he bought the business on January 1, 1986. The new name was Rick’s Farm and Home. His son, Cody will carry on the name. Rick was a joy to be around. He was always kidding, cracking jokes and loved to tell stories about all of his friends. Rick enjoyed going to Deer Camps, where he would, say, “he had the best ole time!”
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Carpenter Bachman, they were married May 25, 2013, at the St. John Lutheran Church; parents, Curtis and Virginia Bachman of Clarksville; his son, Cody Bachman and wife, Mandy of Clarksville; daughter, Kaci Salazar and husband, Fredy of Lago Vista; step children, Spencer Omsberg and wife, Amy and Amanda Omsberg and husband, Dalton; grandchildren, Felix Salazar, Maximo Salazar, Jaxson Omsberg, Layla Omsberg and Emerson Woodrome; sisters, Patricia Knowles and husband, Steve and Lisa Holley and husband, Robert; special friends, Emmett and Lisa Sparkman and Dee Fletcher; and the mother of his children, Lori Bachman.
Funeral services are set for 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2023, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Kimmel officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Steve Bishop, Vic Bishop, Justin Bishop, Alan Bean, Brent Duren, Cab Wolf, Paul Allen and Michael Humphrey.
Honorary Pallbearers are Russell Wilson, Ron Holley, Kenny Backus, Bob Christophersen, David Bean, Richard Donovan, Rusty Lowe, Stevie Drew and Craig Fraizer.
