Richard Fryar, age 58, of Clarksville, passed away, Sunday, July 5, 2026, at his residence. Richard was born, April 23, 1968, in Clarksville to Howard and Linda Caldwell Fryar. His father, grandparents and an uncle, Dennis Caldwell preceded him in death.
Richard was a friend to all. He was an entrepreneur and a profectionist who did a little of everything from hauling rock to hauling logs out of the woods. Richard loved hunting, fishing the Red River and looking for arrowheads. Richard also was and avid gardener which he shared with many of his friends. He loved his family and especially his grandkids. Richard will be missed by all. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Annona. Richard married Kay Monkhouse on May 30, 1986, in Clarksville.
He is survived by his wife, Kay, daughter, Brandi Chesshire and husband, Warren of Detroit, mother, Linda Rhodes and husband, Jerry of Clarksville, grandchildren, Jayden Chesshire, Carson Chesshire and Emerson Jo Chesshire, sisters, Debby Merrell and Justin of Houston and Virginia Lott and husband, Luke of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, uncle and aunt, Jim and Carla Caldwell of Clarksville, aunt, Laurie Caldwell and special friend, Gerald Jackson.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 9, 2026, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with John Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Caldwell Family Cemetery, north of Clarksville, under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Steven Stringer, Racy Long, Chase Long, Paul Raulston, James Posey, Tony Potts and Justin Stringer.
Honorary Pallbearers are Gerald Jackson, Warren Chesshire, Jayden Chesshire and Carson Chesshire.
Visitation will be 6:00 P.M.until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday at Clarksville Funeral Home.
