Richard Lee Watson was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. He left this world January 23rd at 10:07 pm at age 73.
He was born to Lottie and Billy C Watson on July 28, 1948. He served in the army and later met and married the love of his life, Kathy Watson. Together they had one child, Leanna Watson, and two grandchildren, Katey Bridges and Raney Smith. He was preceded in death by his Dad Billy C Watson and 2 Brothers Billy Glenn and Marty Don Watson.
Richard or “Rich” absolutely loved life. He was always laughing or making someone else laugh. He was so goofy and had such a spit fire personality. He was the most kind hearted and genuine person you would ever meet. He made many friends along the way, he was just the kind of person who drew people in. He never lost his childlike spirit and love for life. Anyone who knew Richard knew that he was the most loving father and grandfather a family could ask for and the friend you could always count on. He loved all things about life; What he adored most was his family and his chickens. His loving heart left a beacon of light for all he encountered. He loved fiercely and deeply and we take comfort in knowing that Richard is now at peace surrounded by light.
Graveside services are set for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Liberty Cemetery. Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
