Richard Puetz Obituary

Richard “Rick” Allen Puetz, 59 of Detroit, Texas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31st, 2021 at his home. He battled cancer for years with his sister, Lorane and nieces, Tina and April, by his side. The memorial service is February 5th, 2021 at 3:00PM at Clarksville Funeral Home in Clarksville, Texas.

Richard was born to Fredrick William & Polly Ann Puetz in Jefferson City Missouri on July 6th, 1961 at St Mary’s Hospital.

Rick devoted his life to being in the concrete business. He loved making his ‘Funny Pages’ as he called them, with all the colors of the rainbow. His journey began at an early age, following in the footsteps of many great men in the concrete business and becoming a Superintendent. His grandfather JL Chaffin, uncle Earl Wayne Chaffin, uncle Thurman Butch Reavis, and father Fredrick William Puetz were with him over the years. As well as many cousins and many very close friends.

In his spare time, he was an avid fisherman, he loved fishing with his best buddies, Johnny Hyman and Pnut Reavis.

He is survived by his son, Rocky Allen Puetz of Kilgore, Texas; sister, Lorane Pearl Reavis, husband  Edward “Pnut” and son Caden of Detroit, Texas; nieces, April Cokendolpher and family of Fort Worth, Texas and Tina Maynard and family of Detroit, Texas; nephew, John Hyman II and family of Springfield, Missouri;  brothers, Weldon Eugene Puetz and family of Estacada, Oregon, Randall Lee Puetz Sr. and family of Paris, Texas; sister, Laura Ellen Raney and family of Paris, Texas; stepsisters, Joyce Elaine Roysdon and family of Blanchard, Oklahoma and Donna Jean Ayres and family, of Powderly, Texas; mother, Polly Ann Gray and family of Sutherland, Oregon; stepmother, Joyce Nadine Puetz of Powderly, Texas; and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, uncles, and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fredrick William Puetz; grandparents, JL and Fannie Chaffin; stepbrother, Wayne Turner and sister, Pamela Gray.
