Peggy Ann Belcher

Peggy Ann Smith Belcher, age, 86, of Cuthand, passed away, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at her residence. Mrs. Belcher was born, May 20, 1937, in Cuthand to Oscar and Nora Patton Smith. She was a very hard-working woman who loved her family and looked forward every year to the Smith Family Reunion. Hunting, fishing and canning her garden vegetables were some of her favorite things to do along with going to the Bogata Rodeo. Mrs. Belcher married Edd Bradley (Pete) Belcher on September 12, 1953, and was a long-time member of the Cuthand Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren, Josh Belcher and Brooke Belcher; and a daughter-in-law, Doris Belcher and nine brothers and sisters.

Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Cuthand Church with Rev. John Purviance officiating. Burial will follow in Cuthand Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Brodie Belcher, Derek Belcher, Jason Killian, Clinton Cheatwood, Evan McGroarty, Chance Belcher, Coty Townes and Bradyn English.

Visitation will be an hour before service time at the church.

Survivors include her sons, Tim Belcher and wife Carol, Randy Belcher and Eddie Belcher and girlfriend Sherry Yeatman all of Cuthand; her daughters, Monica Townes and Carla Belcher and husband Mark all of Cuthand; grandchildren, LaTrisha English and husband Quincy, Jason Killian and wife Andrea, Kayla Cheatwood and husband Clinton, Derek Belcher and wife Lindsey, Hannah Coleman and husband Nathan, Alicia Jackson and husband Kevin, Brodie Belcher and wife Elizabet, Beckie Belcher and husband Evan McGroarty, Coty Townes and wife Kasey and Chance Belcher, sister, Shirley Earley, twenty two great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and one on the way and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cuthand Cemetery Association in care of Jan Hammond 5797 Farm Road 910, Clarksville, Texas 75426.
