Nancy Rose Allston, age 78, of Boxelder, passed away, Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Paris Regional Medical Center. She was a caring and cheerful person to all. Mrs. Allston was born, June 4, 1941, in the Whiterock Community of Red River County to Lee and Edith Cockerham Goodwin. Nancy was of the Methodist faith and had served as Treasurer at both Avery and Boxelder United Methodist Churches. She also was the owner of Allston and Associates Tax Service. Her parents; brothers, Robert Goodwin, Billy Goodwin, Jimmy Goodwin, Pete Goodwin and Douglas McArthur; and sisters, Joyce Morrow, Lucille Phelps and Jo Ann Davis all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Hays “Hill Bill” Allston of Boxelder; son, Craig Allston and wife, Jo of Paris; daughter, Vonda Carey and husband, Curtis of Allen; sisters, Susan Crook of Negley, Berty Fortenberry of Hereford, Sally Branscom of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Laura Martin of Mt. Vernon and Polly Newton of Belton; and grandchildren, Abby, Chloe and Dakota.
Graveside services are set for 12:30 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2020, at the Gilliam Cemetery with Rev. Dink Benton officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
There will be no visitation for Mrs. Allston.
Pallbearers are Brent Moore, Doyle Reppond, Glen Dow Floyd, Gerald Judd, Curtis Carey and Larry Cornell.
