Mikael (Mike) Kelsoe, age 69, of Avery, passed away, Sunday, May 8, 2022, at a Texarkana, Texas Hospital. Mike was born, November 5, 1952, in Clarksville to Hurshel and Effie Nicks Kelsoe. He was a 1971 graduate of Avery High School and a member of the Annona First Baptist Church. Mike was a hard worker, a well known heavy equipment operator, rancher and joker. His parents; wife, Elaine Kelsoe; and a nephew, Dwight Kelsoe preceded him in death.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 AM Thursday, May 12, 2022, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Wade Kelsoe, Earl Kelsoe, Kenneth Kelsoe, Casey Obnoskey, Stanley Hawkins and Steve Annis.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry Robinson, Henry Freeman, Dale Webb and Morris Trimm.
Survivors include his sons, Justin Kelsoe and wife, Carmen of Avery and Randy Kelsoe and wife, Crystal of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Kelsoe and wife, Kayla, Ryan Kelsoe, Zane Kelsoe and Koby Kelsoe; great grandchildren, Kaycee Kelsoe and Kynlee Johnson; brothers, Edwin Kelsoe and wife, Emma Lou of Avery and Trent Kelsoe and Terena Moody of Avery.
