Melba Joyce Carter, age, 86, of Quinlan, passed away, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. Carter was born, November 9, 1938, in Clarksville to John Henry and Gussie Musick Rawdon. Her parents, and her siblings, Thomas Rawdon, Nancy Rawdon and Sherry Maxwell, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Cantrell of Quinlan, one son, Thomas Henry of Quinlan, two daughters, Treasa Brown of Ft. Hancock and Janice Henry of Quinlan; sisters, Zebbie Musick Lewis and husband, Tracy of Dallas, Vivian Perkins and husband, John of Cleveland, Arkansas, Darlene Capps and Dickie of Normangee, Lannette Dally and husband, Chris of Everywhere, USA and Janette (Jennifer) Gossard and husband, Greg of Eagle Mountain, Utah, one brother, Johnny Rawdon and wife, Nancy of American Way, California, grandchildren, Michelle Perez and husband, Sergio, Paul Spraggins, Jamie Gilroy and husband, Matthew, Zachary Henry and Jesse Henry, great grandchildren, Michael Perez and wife, Stephanie, Angle Perez, Jerimiah Perez, Loralei Henry, Jenesis Gilroy, Maximus Gilroy, Faith Spraggins, Peyton Spraggins and Scarlett Henry.
Graveside services are 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Lone Star Cemetery with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
