Mechelle "Missy" Corin Torres

Mechelle "Missy" Corin Torres, age 44, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at her residence.

Mechelle was born June 1, 1981, in New Boston, Texas, to Gene and Linda Mitchell Pool. She graduated from Hanks High School in El Paso and attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she graduated with academic honors and was a member of the Theta Kappa sorority. She obtained an associate degree in child psychology.

Mechelle was very intelligent and enjoyed playing basketball, soccer, and volleyball. She was a member of Aikin Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was loved by all who knew her. Mechelle was a very loving, caring, and compassionate person whose presence will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bernard and Corin Mitchell, and Marvin and Juanell Pool.

Survivors include her parents, Gene and Linda Pool of Clarksville; her sons, Levi Torres of Clarksville and Lucas Torres of San Antonio; her sister, Crista Rice of California; two brothers, Dylan Pool and wife, Tana, of Texarkana, Arkansas, and James Rice of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are set for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Aikin Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Youngblood officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
