Although, Maxine Scott passed away November 29, 2022, at the age of 80, her amazing influence will continue to be seen through her children and grandchildren. She was born December 28, 1941 in Uvalde, Texas to Terry and Isabel Lowe.
Maxine was a graduate of Sul Ross State University with a Masters Degree in Education. She enjoyed teaching a wonderful 52 years in the public education system and was a rancher. Maxine was a caring and lovable woman who throughout her lifetime influenced many lives. She remained a faithful Christian in the Lord’s Church until she departed this world for what God and Jesus promised. Maxine married John William Scott on May 25, 1961 and started a beautiful family.
Those left to cherish her memory are: three children, Terry Scott of Bogata, Elizabeth White of Bogata and Bryan Scott of Bogata; eight grandchildren, Jayelyn and husband, Caleb Keele of Paris, McKayla and husband, Samuel Blanton of Paris, Garrett White, Karlee White, Kaylee White, Blaine Scott, Abigail Scott and Mason Scott and a great grandbaby soon to be welcomed into this world, Koe Waylon Keele. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Terry and Isabel Lowe and her husband, John William Scott.
Funeral services are to be held 2:00P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Church of Christ in Fulbright, with Jeff Blanton officiating. . Visitation will begin at 12:30P.M. prior to funeral service. Committal Service and burial will be held at 2:00P.M. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Barksdale Cemetery in Camp Wood, Texas. Pallbearers are Terry Scott, Bryan Scott, Blaine Scott, Mason Scott, Caleb Keele and Samuel Blanton. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Rivercrest Independent School District or the Church of Christ in Fulbright, Texas.
