Mary Jo Hooser, age 90, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mrs. Hooser was born July 14, 1933, in English to Luther and Beulah Joyner Storey. Her parents; her husband Henry Hooser; and sisters, Lilian Storey Bond, Ella Storey Sheppard, Lois Mae Storey Conley, and Mabel Storey Sheppard all preceded her in death. Mary Jo was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan especially in the Hay Day’s! She enjoyed checking the cows with Henry and loved her three donkeys. Mary Jo was a member of the Red Hatters and the Aikin Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Hooser Jaeger of Clarksville, Janet Stringer and husband, Mark of Clarksville, June Stringer and husband, Terry of Detroit; grandchildren, Terra Compton and husband, Shane of Clarksville, Holly Varley and husband, Brooks of Burleson, and Jessica Nichols of Detroit; great grandchildren, Hunter Compton, Chloe Varley, and Bristol Nichols.
