Mary Louise Dodson

Mary Louise Dodson, age 88, of DeKalb, gained her wings September 6, 2020, at her home in DeKalb.

Mary was born August 19, 1932, in Oak Grove, Texas to William and Dessie Rhea. Granny as everyone called her, loved being around her grand and great grandkids. She loved to work in her puzzle books and was an avid watcher of westerns no matter how many times she had seen them. Louise was up early every morning reading her Devotionals faithfully. Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Dodson, daughter Mary Olds and 2 sons, Olan and Jimmy Dodson.

Survivors include 5 sons, Carlos Rhea and wife, Eileene of DeKalb, Richard Olds of DeKalb, Lawerence Dodson of Erath, Louisiana, Steve Dodson and wife, Wanda of Idabel, Oklahoma and Rockey Dodson and wife, Kim of DeKalb and numerous grands, great grands and great-great grandkids.

Serving as pallbearers are: Justin Dodson, Lesly Dodson, Chance Dodson, Matt Olds, Zach Olds, JJ Olds, Ryan Van and Nick Brown.

The family will receive friends one hour before service time at Gravel Hill Cemetery.

Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Gravel Hill Cemetery with Bro. Rockey Dodson and Steve Dodson officiating. Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
