Mary Christine Cross

Mary Christine Bolton Cross went to see her heavenly father on May 30, 2020 at the amazing and grand age of 100.

Christine was born on October 18, 1919 to Clara Bell and Dick Bolton and lived on Peter’s Prairie until she married Marcel Atlas Cross on April 12, 1946.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother-in-law Estelle and Dean Kerr, her brother Maxie Bolton and son Ronnie Marcel Cross.

Christine is survived by her sister-in-law Erlene Bolton, son Rodney Cross, and many nieces and nephews.

Lone Star United Methodist Church is where Christine and Marcel made their church home.  Her faith was deep and showed through her kindness to others.  She enjoyed going to her son’s business in Valiant, Oklahoma; Big D Auto Supply.  There she was able to greet customers, Make many friends and help out where she was needed.  Christine especially enjoyed the children whose faces lit up as they called her by name.

Rodney remembers a wonderful childhood as Christine frequently took him swimming and to ballgames which were his two favorite activities.

Christine’s pride and joy was taking care of her husband and son, keeping an immaculate house, and gardening.

Graveside services are set for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at English Cemetery with Rev. Don Shovan officiating.  Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers are Gary and Michael Bolton, Bob Ward, Jim Cross, Britt Holley.
