Margaret Joplin

Margaret Marie Joplin, age 78, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday June 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 10, 1946, in Paducah, Texas to Calvin and Jewel Henderson.

She graduated from Dimple High School in 1964. She started her career in the medical field in 1977 at Red River General Hospital as a ward clerk and retired from East Texas Medical Center as an X-ray technician in 2011.

Margaret is survived by her beloved husband William Frank Joplin, two daughters Lisa Long and husband Racy Clarksville, Tonya Pendleton and husband Kacy of Paris, three bonus children Shane Joplin and wife Judy of Bogata, Clifton Joplin and wife Tonya Tackett of Bogata, Ashlea Joplin and husband Brad Ezell of Jacksonville, Florida, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brothers Kenneth Henderson and wife Shirley of Clarksville, Danny Henderson and wife Barbara of New Boston, sister Margie Bates and late husband Billy Jack of North Richland Hills and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends  of whom all she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Calvin and Jewel Henderson, brother Donald Ray, and grandson Luke Earley.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025, and 11:00AM at Hopewell Cemetery with Craig Fletcher and Mike Henderson officiating.

Pallbearers are Kody Gray, Dylan Earley, Kreese Pendleton, Terry Lee Smith, Shane Henderson, and Tracy Henderson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Keith Henderson, Logan Henderson, and Kason Henderson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Margaret Joplin’s name to the Luke Earley Scholarship Foundation, 2525 Meadow Lane, Reno, TX 75462 or to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
