Marcus Ervin

Marcus Blane Ervin, age 70, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023, at his residence.

Marcus was born September 10, 1953, in Clarksville to Leonard and Margaret Monkhouse Ervin.  Marcus enjoyed yard work, in particular planting trees.  When he ran out of room to plant trees, he filled the space left with flowers.  When Marcus wasn’t working in the yard, he enjoyed watching tv.  One of his favorite things to do was eat out, especially if ice cream was involved.  Marcus was of the Baptist faith and loved his family dearly.  He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Anthony Ervin.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:30p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Graveside services are set for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers are: Alan Hale, Keith Green, Sammy Hervey, Bobby Parker, William Shirley, Terry Dilbeck and Ronald Shirley.

Marcus is survived by his wife, Paula Varley Ervin of Clarksville; his mother, Margaret Ervin of Clarksville; his son, Jason Ervin of Sachse; 2 grandchildren, Chloe Ervin and Cooper Ervin and numerous cousins.
