Lynda Ruth Allen

Lynda Ruth Allen, 73, passed peacefully away at home on Feb. 5th.

Lynda was born on October 13th 1951 in Norman,OK. She grew up in the Woodland-Manchester area graduating from Detroit High School. She married shortly after to Rick Allen from Woodland, and remained married until the 1990's. She later graduated from P.J.C. Nursing School as an R.N. She always loved helping people and becoming a nurse was a calling that she enjoyed until her retirement. In 1997 she met Jessie Barrett which she later married. They loved to ride motorcycles and travel until his death.

She was a strong believer in Christ. She always attended church and thoroughly read the bible which she could quote verbatim. She made sure this trait was passed to her children and grandchildren. She was always quilting. Making one for every member of the family and special friends, which were many. In the summer she was continually working in the flower beds which she said "she hated", but couldn't wait to plant something new. Above all she was a loving wife, dutiful mom, and proud Me-Me. She was preceded in life by her father Thomas Greer, husband Jessie Barrett, and sister Sandra Adams.

She is survived by her Mother, Laveta Hughes. Children, Carey Allen and spouse Connie Wilson of Blossom, their child Catlyn, and her child Pyper. Cheylanne Thomas and husband Brandon of Reno. Their children, Jacob Thomas of Reno. Daughter Bailee Browning and husband Ryan of Valliant, their two children, Karver and Fallon. Nieces, Chayanna Miller and Chasey Brown.

Graveside services are 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Cuthand Cemetery with Rev. Brad Miller officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
