Linda Gail Childres

Linda Gail Childres, age 68, of the Lone Star Community, passed away, Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in Dallas. Linda was born, November 29, 1953, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ruth Coker; and a sister, Jeannie Pace. Linda was a very kind and generous person and a loving mother and grandmother to her family.

Survivors include her husband, John Childres of the Lone Star Community; 3 sons, Sydney Joe Grimes of Winnsboro, Michael Lee Grimes and wife, Tammi of Clarksville and Hollis Leon Grimes and wife, Andrea of Bogata; 1 daughter, Lisa Gail Dill and husband, Brad of Clarksville; 1 sister, Faye Pritchett of Clarksville; 2 brothers, Howard Lively of Clarksville and Richard Shipp of Detroit and 6 grandchildren; Anthony Watkins, Presley Grimes, Devin Grimes, Braden Dill, Haley Grimes and Clayton Grimes; 1 great grandchild, Mason Watkins; special nephews, Jadyn Keel and Ty Keel and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services are set for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Lone Star Cemetery with Rev. Don Shovan and Rev. Dink Benton officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Anthony Watkins, Braden Dill, Clayton Grimes, Jadyn Keel, Ben Garrett and Robert McKelvey.
