Laveta Hughes, age, 94, of Paris, passed away, Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Stillhouse Healthcare Center. Mrs. Hughes was born, June 19, 1931, in the Negley Community of Red River County to Kenneth Cyrus and Anna Belle Johnston Enox. She was retired from Phillips Lighting and a member of the Cowboy Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Hughes, brothers, Leighton, Gearld and Clifton Enox, daughters, Lynda Allen and Sandra Adams and a nephew, Gerald Glenn Enox.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Chayanna Miller and husband, Brad of Paris and Chasey Brown and husband, Aaron of Chicota, Carey Allen and Cheylanne Thomas and husband, Brandon of Blossom, son-in-law, Kenneth Adams of Detroit, great grandchildren, Shelbi Barnes and husband, Chris, Caleb Miller and wife, Trinity, Carly Dillard and husband, Trevor, Gabby Miller, Callie Tucker, Connor Tucker, Colby Tucker, Bailee Browning and husband, Ryan and Jacob Thomas, great-great grandchildren, Braden, Tatum and Rylee Barnes, Gentry Dillard, Jasper Tucker, Carver Browning and Fallon Browning.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2025, at the Pathway Church of God with Rev. Brad Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends an hour before service at Pathway Church of God.
Pallbearers are Caleb Miller, Chris Barnes, Trevor Dillard, Aaron Brown, Colby Tucker, Connor Tucker and Braden Barnes
Honorary Pallbearers are Jasper Tucker, Gentry Dillard and Steve Nethery.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staffs of Stillhouse Healthcare Center and Elara Caring for their excellent care that they provided to our Memaw. Also, a special thank you to Mr. Dillard for always being a great friend and reminding her of Bingo and Domino time!
