Laura Marie Moore

Laura Marie Moore, 97, of Avery, TX, passed away on April 15th. She was born on Aug 10, 1925, in Boxelder, TX to John and Hallie Lipe Hardman. She was a devoted wife and mother before returning to school. She received her LVN degree in 1970 and worked for Red River General Hospital for 30 years before retiring.

She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, & Great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Dalton Moore, and her sisters Ella Jo Hubbell and Irene Moses. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Moore Hays and Gary Hays, her granddaughter, Laura Hays, and 2 great-grand sons, Lane Hays and Austin Middleton, sister, Elaine Belt as well as a host of friends and extended family.

She will always be remembered for caring nature and sharp wit. She loved gardening, cooking, sewing, and spending time with friends and family.

For the last 15 years of her life, she lived at Colonial Lodge Retirement Home in Paris, TX where she received excellent care and made many friends. A special thank you to her long-time caregivers Doris Lane and Sheri Lyons.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 17th at 1pm followed by funeral services at 2pm at Lindeman Chapel at Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Semple officiating. Burial will follow at Avery Cemetery. Pallbearers are her nephews Larry Roberts, Joey Moses, Judd Hubbell, Neil Belt, Bruce Belt, and Kevin Belt.
