Larry Stringer, age 71, of Clarksville, passed away, Saturday, September 11, 2021. Larry was born in Clarksville on November 1, 1949, the son of Rainey and Louise Green Stringer. He married Rose Tackett on August 16, 1968. Larry retired from Phillips Products and was a member and Deacon at the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. His sister, Carolyn Carson; and a brother-in-law, Buddy Stanley preceded him in death. Larry loved his family and enjoyed going to Branson, Missouri, camping and fishing. Larry was known for his piddling and being able to fix just about anything.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Stringer of Clarksville; sons, Brian Stringer of Clarksville and Heath Stringer and wife, Angie of Clarksville; daughter, Paula Hausler and husband, Erich of Clarksville; sisters, Sue Stanley of Clarksville, Rhonda McEntire and husband, David of Clarksville and Tonya Martin and husband, James of Clarksville; brothers, Mark Stringer and wife, Janet of Clarksville, Tony Stringer and wife, Tammie of Clarksville and Terry Stringer and wife, June of Bagwell; grandchildren, Kolten Stringer and wife, Makaylah, Kaleb Stringer and wife, Hannah, Egan Hausler Carson Hausler, Bryar Hausler, Brittney Smith and husband, Stephen, Dalton Stringer and Hayden Stringer; great grandchildren, Tanner, Paisley, Riley, Ian, Ryland, Hutson and McKinley; and a brother-in-law, James Carson of Clarksville.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September, 14, 2021, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Jamison Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are his grandsons and the Men of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church are Honorary Pallbearers.
Visitation will be Monday night from 6:00 pm. Until 8:00 pm., at Clarksville Funeral Home.
