Keith Todd Cooper of Clarksville passed away June 2, 2026 at the age of 70. He was born in Dallas, TX to Morris Thomas & Robbie Nell Legate Cooper on September 1, 1955.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Ag Education from East Texas State University, he taught for one year in Henderson, TX. He then began a long and fulfilling career with the Texas Animal Health Commission, from which he eventually retired.
An avid outdoorsman, Keith loved all things hunting and fishing. His all-time favorites were fly fishing and hunting deer, turkey, and doves (especially since season opening fell on his birthday).
He always had a story or joke to share. Keith had a certain charm that caused others to be enamored with him, ensuring that he never met a stranger no matter where he went.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include two brothers, Ron Cooper and Randy Cooper; two sons, Robert Austin Cooper and William Thomas Cooper; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Chambers Home Health, Chambers Hospice, and Focused Care Clarksville that have loved and cared for Keith over the years, especially in his final days.
Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2026 in Lindeman Chapel at Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Don Shovan officiating.
The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the resident activity fund at Focused Care Clarksville.
