Joshua “Junior” Alvin Dean, age 90, of Avery, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at his residence.
Junior was born February 15, 1933, in Annona to Joshua Alvin Dean, Sr. and Linda Freda Krause. Junior was very well known for his gardens. He was a rancher for the most part of his life, but had a special gift for growing produce. Junior loved his family and friends and will be missed. Preceding him in death are his parents; 4 brothers, Lindberg Dean, David Dean, Gene Dean and Larry Dean and 3 sisters, Inell Dean, Linda Bronson and Margaret Beleflower.
Memorial services are set for 11:00a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Matney Dean of New Boston; sons, Danny Dean of New Boston and David Dean and wife, Miranda of Avery; 3 sisters, Pauline Meister of Annona, Jo Eddie Rodriguez of Garland and Shirley Bently of Wichita Falls; his brother, Jimmy Dean of Idabel and 2 grandchildren, Colt Dean of Alto and Sara Dean of Avery.
