Johnnie Campbell, age,100, of Bogata, passed away, Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Mr. Campbell was born, April 17, 1924, in Chickalah, Arkansas to Herman and Dessie Carter Campbell. He was a retired Truck Driver and Equipment Operator. Mr. Campbell served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by two wives, Wilma Campbell and Emelee Campbell; three daughters, Kay Ross, Janet Oaks and Carolyn Hovenkamp; two brothers, Leroy Campbell and Coy Campbell; three sisters, Marie Lawson, Loretta Ratliff and Ruby Nell; and three grandchildren, Tony Oaks, Candice Oaks and Meloney Kristofik.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at Smith Family Funeral Home at 1751 Dave Ward Drive in Conway, Arkansas from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM with service to follow. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Vollman Cemetery, Bigelow, Arkansas.
Mr. Campbell is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Norbury and Carolyn Womack; two son's-in-law, Richard Ross and Leo Hovenkamp; grandchildren, Tammy Kinsley, Clay Oaks, Carol Ann Hovenkamp, Cheryl Waldmer, Melissa Franks, Ashley Shiver and Kimberly Pritchard, thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
