John R. Kocurek, age 87, of Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Stillhouse Rehabilitation Center in Paris. John was born, November 30, 1935, in Clarksville to Henry and Thelma Fancher Kocurek. He earned his Bacholor’s of Science Degree in Chemistry from Texas A&M University. John retired from Day and Zimmermann in Texarkana and was in the National Guard. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. John married Jennell Humphrey on February 22, 1969.
Survivors include his wife, Jennell Kocurek of Clarksville; two daughters, Johnell Perry and husband, Greg of Abilene and Jennifer Frazier and husband, Craig of Clarksville; and two granddaughters, Lindsay and Ashley Perry.
Private graveside services will be held at Lanes Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Gavin Vaverek officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
