John Hawley, age 65, of Detroit, passed away Friday, January 24, 2025, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
John was born April 30, 1959, in Clarksville to Henry Washington Hawley, Jr. and Clara Fay Coble Hawley. John married the love of his life, Linda, on August 17, 1979, they spent 47 years of marriage together. In the Summer of 1984, John gave his life to his heavenly father at the First Baptist Church in Omaha, Tx. He was a member of the Bagwell Baptist Church.
John was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, especially racoons, fishing, camping, gardening and had just about any animal that could be tamed on his farm. He had a big family and a big heart and cherished his children and grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents; his 2 sisters, Rose Mary Hawley and Polly Ann Nailing; his grandson, E.C. Yeley; great grandson, Jesse Fisher and his nephew, Mitchell Beasley.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Jones Hawley of Detroit; 3 daughters, Danni Goodman of Detroit, Candy Yeley and husband, David of Lone Oak and Randi Simpson and husband, Justin of Bagwell; his sister, Clara Mae Beasley of Penryn, California; 2 brothers, Ronnie Moorefield of Odessa and Earnest Wayne Hawley of Manchester; 11 grandchildren, Josh, Dustin, Tiffany, Lee, Krystal, Willie, Cody, Mercedes, Rileigh, Kodeigh and Deotric; 28 great grandchildren,1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 27, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Graveside services are set for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Blanton Creek Cemetery with Rev. Karl Bush officiating. Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are: David Yeley, Justin Simpson, Willie Yeley, Jason Mosher, Thomas Blanton and Jonathan Blanton. Honorary pallbearers are Ernie Hawley, Andy Beasley and Scout Birdsong.
