John Thomas Elrod

John Thomas Elrod went to be with the love of his life, Elizabeth, on May 17, 2020.

John was born December 9, 1936 to Jimmy and Cootie Brundige Elrod. John had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He loved being outside with his chickens and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He worked at Magnolia Brush Factory where he made life long friendships until his retirement. He married Elizabeth in 1978 and they were married for the next 41 years. She was the love of his life and you could see it in everything they did. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Elrod. Also, his parents Jimmie and Cootie and his sister Pearl.

Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

John is survived by his sons Charles Parker, James Elrod, Johnny Elrod, And Thomas Elrod. His daughter Mary Elrod, Rhonda Elrod and Jackie Elrod Granddaughters Jessica and husband Chris of Killeen, Tiffany and husband Jason of Paris. His brother James Elrod and sister Joyce Bailey and Numerous great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him but we take comfort in knowing he's dancing with his beloved wife Liz again.
