Obituary

Joe Edsel Wooten, age 83, of Paris, passed away, Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Edsel was born, December 10, 1939, in Talco to J.D. and Sarah Parker Wooten. He was an electrician and retired after 48 years with Southern Pacific Railroad. His parents; and three brothers, James, Harold and Richard Wooten preceded him in death.

Graveside services are set for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023, at White Rock Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Youngblood officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are, Ethan Wooten, Josh Wooten, Jacob Wooten, Mike Wise and Alan Parker.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include two sons, Ethan Wooten and wife, Dawn and Guy Wooten both of Yuba City, California; two daughters, Elizabeth Preston and husband, Robert of Bend, Oregon and Cora Sharpe and husband, Ron of Rexburg, Idaho; one sister, Patty Bellmyer of Paris and ten grandchildren.
