Tommy Joe Parr, age 86, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Joe was born September 23, 1938, in Wylie, Texas, to Dorsey and Mildred Smith Parr. He was a hardworking man, a true cowboy, and never believed in the word “can’t.” On April 4, 1958, Joe married the love of his life, Paula. In 2004, Joe and Paula fulfilled his lifelong dream by purchasing the Flying Horseshoe Ranch in Clarksville, where they built lasting friendships and a life they loved. Paula worked faithfully by his side until her passing on February 13, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Paula Parr.
Joe is survived by his children, Sheryl Haugen and husband, Jerry, of Plano, Laura Deluna of Clarksville, Tammi Wilson and husband, Larry, of Princeton; grandchildren, Leanna Quintos and husband, Pedro, Joey Wilson and wife, Breanna, Jonathan Wilson and wife, Alura, Jeremy Wilson, Megan Blum and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Bella, Joseph, Jacob, Lance, Ali, Kay, Jonathan, Savanah, Jack, Sage, Samantha, Lucy and Molly; his great-great-grandchild, Richie; and special friend, Phyllis Ross.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at Clarksville Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 18, 2025, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M. in Wylie Cemetery, under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
