Joan Perkins

Elizabeth Joan Perkins, age 89, a lifelong resident of Bagwell, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2025, at Focused Care at Clarksville.

Joan was born July 26, 1936, in Bagwell, Texas, to Robert Emmit and Clarice Elizabeth Wyers Young. She was a devoted homemaker who found joy in painting, quilting, and caring for her animals. Joan was a faithful member of the Bagwell Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Rolen Perkins; her son, John Mark Perkins; her daughter, Leisa Ann Perkins; and her sister, Callie Frances Young Carpenter.

Survivors include her nephews, Kenny Carpenter and wife Jennifer of Paris, Texas, and Keith Carpenter and wife Donna of Hugo, Oklahoma.

The Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Funeral services are set for 2:00 PM, October 7, 2025, at Bagwell Church of Christ with Steve Marx officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
