JoAnn Taylor

JoAnn Taylor, age, 83, of Clarksville, passed away, Friday, January 16, 2026, at The Home Place Assisted Living Center in Paris. JoAnn was born, March 20, 1942, in Clarksville to W.L. "Dump" and Ophelia Woods Compton.  She graduated from Paris Jr. College and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.  JoAnn married Wade Taylor on December 23, 1961.  She and Wade owned and operated Appliance Sales and Service in Clarksville for over 36 years. JoAnn had a passion for growing flowers and looked forward every year to raising vegetables in their garden.   

Graveside services are 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 19, 2026, at Madras Cemetery with Rev. Don Shovan officiating.  Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers are Shane Compton, Steve Austin, Drake Howard and Kevin Green. 

Survivors include her son, Jason Taylor and wife, Michelle of Reno, grandson, Jenson Wade Taylor, brother, John Compton and wife, Carolyn of Texarkana, niece Jona Guffey and husband, Raymond of Novice, and a nephew, Shane Compton and wife, Terra of Clarksville.
