Janie Joyner

Janie Joyner, age, 74 of Austin Texas passed away Monday July 24, 2023, at her residence.

Janie was born December 31,1948, in Red River County to James "Jimmy" Bachman and Betty Jane Rains Bachman.  She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Wade Witmer. Janie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She married her soul mate, Guy Joyner January 10, 1970, and they were inseparable.  They had season tickets to the Texas Longhorns Football games for nearly 20 years, and she loved going to the games.  She was always a diehard UT football fan, and she also loved watching all football.  Janie worked for Dr. William K. Thomson, DDS for 34 years beginning in 1978.  She loved her job, boss, coworkers and most especially the patients.  She always had a smile on her face and loved being around people and was always dressed to the nines, "matchy matchy" as she called it.  She was the kindest person and was a fighter no matter what she was going through.  

Survivors include her husband, Guy Joyner of Austin; her daughter Chrissy Witmer and husband, Michael Witmer of Clarksville. 

A Celebration of Life will be on September 16, 2023 from 11:00-1:00 at the Anderson Mill Community Center in Austin, Texas
