Janice Diann Marr Clarkson passed away peacefully at her home on May 28th, 2024. She was 79 years old.
Diann was born October 8, 1944, in Clarksville, Texas, to William and Lucile Stringer Marr. She was a nurturer at heart – finding joy in cooking, baking, gardening, raising animals, and being “Grannie.” She guaranteed no one ever left her home on an empty stomach. She had a magical touch that turned every meal into a feast and every garden into a blooming paradise.
Diann was preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny Dewayne Lee; husbands, Dan Lee, and James “Sonny” Clarkson; brother, Paul Marr, and sister, Linda Early.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Dimple Community Center under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tuggle Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Treva Cargile; son Steaven Lee and wife, Melanie; sister, Alice Walsh and husband, Max; brother, Bill Marr and wife, Susan; sister-in-law, Shirley Marr; brother-in-law, Roger Early; 3 grandchildren, Olivia Lee, Landan Lee, and Amanda Lee; one great-grandchild, Zaedan Shaw; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
